The Cahill Lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center focuses on elucidating the innate immune mechanisms that drive the development of asthma in adulthood. Using translational research, we investigate new targets and therapeutic agents with the goal to devise interventions that target the mechanisms driving disease pathways in every adult with asthma. Our team uses cutting edge research technologies including bioinformatics, transcriptomics, metabolomics with data from observational and clinical trial cohorts to better understand the cells and mediators involved in asthma. As members of the Center for Asthma Research at Vanderbilt, we collaborate on a diverse range of research projects to answer critical questions in the development and treatment of asthma.
