includes modules and a workbook on maintaining professional boundaries. This online course teaches healthcare professionals skills to recognize sexual boundary violations, adherence to current rules related to appropriate sexual conduct and avoiding difficulties on social media.

Proper Prescribing of Controlled Prescription Drugs

Consists of seven web-based, CME approved modules on various topics related to controlled prescription drugs and substance misuse and abuse.

Course Information

 

Target Audience:

Physicians and other healthcare providers who prescribe controlled prescription drugs. Modules 1-7 take 25 to 45 minutes each and range from 0.5 to 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ per module.

 

Course Objectives:

After participating in this CME on-line activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:

  • The drug-seeking patient
  • SBIRT (Screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment)
  • Current information on proper prescribing practices
  • Risky prescribing practices and strategies to avoid them
